Julie Galea

Dance Teacher
Julie first put on her dancing shoes aged 5 years old and completed all her Latin-American & Ballroom Medal Tests at an early age.

Julie began competing at the highest level for her age group, and in 1988 won the International Juvenile Ballroom Championships at the Royal Albert Hall, London.

In 1992, with five 1st places at major events to her name, her footprints were felt by the famous wooden floorboards at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool; where Julie and her dance partner claimed their place as The British Open Junior Latin American Champions. From here Julie continued to compete at the highest level upon the global stage, taking first places on dance floors in Russia, France, China, South Africa, USA and many others.

Julie then took a break from dancing, to have a family with 3 beautiful children - the last of whom she carried with her through an IDTA Teaching Qualification, in which she was nominated for an IDTA Scholarship. In 2004 Julie returned to the dancing world as an IDTA qualified Dance Instructor, leading to her working as a Freelance Dance Instructor with local Dance Schools and Primary Schools.

Julie is also available for private lessons within JustDance Academy Ltd for all levels from Beginners to Top Competitors.

Fiona Walker

Dance Teacher
Fiona took to the floor for the first time way back then, and spent all her spare time dancing in the ballroom even when she should have been studying!

After taking a break to get married and bring up her family, she returned to dancing and teaching. She has been teaching in Bedford for over 20 years, covering a range of skill levels with adults and children - beginners, social dancers, medallists and competitors. She can often be found at competitions supporting her current and former students, and getting a great satisfaction out of watching others succeed.
